Friends of the Farm & Garden

The Friends of the UCSC Farm & Garden support the Apprenticeship Program and the UCSC Farm & Garden facilities with funding and volunteer energy. Founded in 1971, the more than 800 members of the Friends include many campus and community members as well as Apprenticeship graduates from across the U.S.

The Friends also work with the Apprenticeship staff to help organize an annual series of gardening workshops and other outreach events. Check the calendar on the CASFS website for a list of upcoming classes.

By joining the Friends, you too can support the public education, scholarship work, and efforts to support and improve the Apprenticeship and the Farm and Alan Chadwick Garden facilities.
